Welcome to Coedpoeth and Minera Camera Club

We're a friendly group of enthusiastic photographers. established in January 2017. We meet on Wednesday evenings in Coedpoeth near Wrexham in North Wales.

If you're an experienced photographer with knowledge to share, or a newcomer to the hobby, you are very welcome!

CAMCC has a website usage policy here.

Benefits of joining CAMCC

As well as the chance to attend meetings and meet up with like minded people, to form friendships etc, there are many other benefits that are provided at no additional cost to you. These include:

  • NWPA membership - By being a member of a local club, you are also automatically a member of the NWPA, the North Wales Photographic Alliance. This is the umbrella organisation that supports all the clubs in the North Wales area.
They give legal advice if required, provide our insurance cover and organise a number of events and competitions throughout the year, where members or the club as a whole can compete with all members and clubs in North Wales.

  • PAGB - the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. All the regional associations such as the NWPA all pay a small fee to belong to this organisation, which has similar duties to the regional ones, but at a higher level. They are responsible for things like formulation of the rules for organised competitions. All members can join the PAGB, and can access there store of documents and subscribe to their free newsletter.

  • Formal (organised and scheduled) photoshoots at places of interest and events - after all, the club is all about taking, and improving our photographs!

  • Informal shoots, where a small group of members travel together to shoot at places of interest, events, or visit exhibitions at other clubs.
